I needed a new watch band for a 40-year-old Pulsar watch. After checking with all of my regular local resources for a replacement, including jewelry stores and big-box stores, I found that few of them still sold watch bands. Was the watch becoming a thing of the past since everyone had a time-displaying device on their phone/calendar/camera/communication device?
I was thrilled to discover StrapsCo online and the extensive assortment of watch bands they offered through their simple, very intuitive web site; the ability to filter on 18mm, long, leather products was a big time saver in conducting the search for my next watch band. I was a little dismayed at the number of selections that were “out of stock” or no longer available, but I eventually found four attractive bands that were available then selected the best for my order: Dark brown Tapered Pebbled Leather Strap by DASSARI.
After exchanging email with a member of their team, I was relieved to learn that StrapsCo strives to provide as accurate inventory information as possible, but because of high demand or supply chain delays, an issue that is all too common these days, their stock levels can fluctuate quickly. They do not list products as available if they are not in stock, unless they intend to make them available again. For those popular items, they will add my name to a waitlist so I know when those products are restocked.
The new band was received 6 days after it shipped, well within their 3 to 10 day shipping goal. When I installed the new band, I chose to use the old pins instead of the “Quick Release” pins shipped with the band. The new pins barely fit into the hole of the watch lugs in my old watch. They were the right size but a fraction of an inch shorter than the old pins and, in my opinion, not as sturdy. Because I had no plans for quickly releasing my watch band, I decided instead on the added stability. I am very happy with the fit, quality and appearance of the new band. It serves as both a casual daily and a dress band.

This is a great strap on my vintage Omega Constellation. The matte finish, pebbled texture , and aggressive taper look great. It’s more casual than some shinier straps. The pebbled leather reminds me of the texture you can get on custom Nikes. I added the gold buckle to complete the look with the gold watch.

The texture of this leather strap is really good looking in person! I also love how the strap has an aggressive taper from the lugs to the clasp end, giving the watch a classy look. It’s dressy looking and since the stitch on the lugs is the same color as the strap, it doesn’t come off as too casual for a dressier watch like my Agelocer Budapest. The black edge of the fumé dial also ties in with the black strap. The leather is a medium rating in terms of softness/flexibility.

The midnight blue I received is a lovely Matt finish with blue stitching . Looks very good quality. The brown I received had a more gloss finish and it’s not as nice as the blue. Doesn’t look quite as nice. Would have been nicer if it was more of a Matt finish like the blue
