I picked up the **StrapsCo Vintage Waxed Leather Strap**, along with several other straps, to replace the stiff and somewhat cheap-feeling OEM strap on my Seiko Alpinist. After spending some time with it, this one has easily become a favorite—and feels like the strap the watch should have come with from the start.
The first thing that impressed me was the leather quality. It’s thick and substantial, giving that reassuring premium feel, yet it’s also surprisingly supple and comfortable on the wrist. Many thicker leather straps require a long break-in period, but this one felt wearable almost immediately while still maintaining a sturdy, durable character.

The waxy feel on this strap is very nice! It gives the watch a vintage look for sure and the taper also has an old school flair to it. I like that there is same colored stitching used and the leather is thick but comfortable on the wrist. The strap will break in a bit and become even more supple as time goes on with more wear. I went with the green color to allow my Vario Versa watch to pop in contrast.
