I purchased this single-fold deployant clasp to upgrade a few StrapsCo straps, and at its very affordable price point, it delivers about what you’d expect. The overall quality is typical of many generic offerings found on Amazon or AliExpress—functional, reasonably well-made, but not particularly refined.
One of the first things I noticed was that the clasp is smaller than I anticipated. Even when fully deployed, I found it somewhat difficult to pass my larger hands through the strap. Those with smaller hands likely won’t encounter this issue, but it’s worth considering if you prefer to leave your strap sized and simply slip the watch on and off.
The closure uses a friction-fit design that feels secure and requires a deliberate pull to open. Deployment is smooth and confidence-inspiring, and the hinges and buckle components feel solid with no obvious signs of looseness or poor assembly. Installation was straightforward and hassle-free.
Comfort, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The hinge side of the clasp features a noticeable curve that appears to be designed to follow the contour of the wrist. While this may work well for smaller wrists, I found that the curvature created a pressure point on my larger wrist. Additionally, some of the edges are sharper than I’d prefer, which detracts from long-term wearing comfort.
Overall, this clasp succeeds as an inexpensive upgrade over a standard tang buckle, offering secure operation and decent construction. However, its compact size, pronounced curvature, and somewhat sharp edges prevent it from feeling truly premium. For smaller-wristed users, it may be a better fit, but those with larger wrists should temper their expectations.

Mine was a bit of a disappointment. The clasp locks so tightly, I almost feared I’d need pliers to open it. An otherwise good quality clasp that I’ll have to fiddle with to get it to work properly. The other clasp in my order was perfect in looks and operation. I’d chance another purchase, but I would ask Strapsco to check it out before sending.
