Quality, comfortable “seat belt” style nylon strap. Know that the holes on one side go almost all the way around. I assume that’s for more of a field/tool look? No one is ever using some of those holes. It’s not a bad thing, just something to be aware of.

Replaced Archer canvas strap on my Seiko daily driver. Canvas gets pretty gross over time when you wear it every day. I like the herringbone weave of these so-called “seat belt straps.”
These straps are thick for a short-lugged watch like mine. They’re a bit tight to install, but the real test is how long they’ll hold up after chaffing against the case. That is assuming that the bonded ends, holes, and keepers hold up.
Keepers are not stitched to themselves; they are bonded, leaving me to worry if one will depart when I am not looking. Tubular-knit fabric is flattened, box-stitched, and trimmed with a hot blade. The tail end is likely finished against a hot plate while the buckle end is stitched over the main keeper. The secondary keeper is free to slide, which is good for longer tailings (if it stays in place).
Buckle holes and QR pockets are laser cut, so minimally bonded there. The buckle hole is likely going to break free and fray eventually – I’ll return to this in six months, or sooner if it actually happens before then.
The buckle looks nice on the screen but is too flat to work well with this thick strap. You would be much better off replacing it with the original if possible, as I did with mine. I’d absolutely recommend a better buckle though, regardless of what you decide, as the tongue is flat and somewhat sharp and will certainly contribute to hole fray.
Color is excellent. “Cargo” matches the green dial of my Seiko much better than the Archer “Faded Olive” ever did. The color should last much longer than canvas would anyway.
Overall, it is a very nice looking – and feeling – imported strap that I’m sure StrapsCo will sell many of. But keep in mind what I’ve mentioned, and don’t expect it to look this perfect forever. That is, if you are putting it on a watch you wear every day. I know a lot of people spend modest amounts on clean straps just to make their occasional watches look more like their own, and that’s okay. As a replacement, however, this is probably a bit more fashion than utilitarian.

Love the feel of the strap and the color but I’ve only worn it a couple times and the tab on the quick release pin broke. I’m not rough with my watches so this shouldn’t have happened.

Okay so what I love with these new Pro Seatbelt Straps are the fact you get the robust nylon feel of a pass through, but its split into two pieces so you don’t get the bulk or overhang of excess strap material! The blue color I selected looks amazing in person. It’s an deep dark navy blue but has a metallic sheen to it, really goes well with any navy sunburst dials like on my PD Zulu Time homage watch. I’ll be grabbing more in other colors and sizes soon! One thing to be aware of is that the holes on the strap go high up the wrist so you’ll be able to put this on a small sized wrist if needed.
