I decided to refresh my 17-year-old Invicta S1 Rally chronometer in part because I’ve always been hard on metal bracelets and I had scratched this one quite a bit when I was wearing the watch regularly. I always liked the unusual face, the Roman numerals, and the placement of the subdials, so when I went searching for a new look StrapsCo had the perfect solution: my new obsession was the military Bund style cuff band. I have numerous NATO or G10 bands of various materials, but the Bund straps were a new and interesting (retro) look that I was interested in exploring. Plus I have recently acquired several bullhead design chronometers, and even though this was for the standard crown and pusher layout, I wanted to use the S1 as a test. This Dassari black leather Bund strap fits the large watch perfectly (24mm spring bars) and the refined leather retro appearance is very appealing. The band is well-made and was only the first of several I have since ordered to help refresh other older watches, as well as (perhaps) a bullhead or two.

What a stunning strap combo to have with a bronze field watch, like my Vario 1945 D12 watch! The leather is supple, but has a vintage distressed look to it. The stitch is the same color as the strap so it gives a clean cohesive look when on the wrist. I swapped the steel buckle with my bronze one and I couldn’t be more pleased with how the look turned out. One of my fav combos to wear with this watch!

Pretty standard “genuine” leather strap. The bund section is large (around 54mm across) so wouldn’t recommend it for watches under 42mm. The bund is also about half as thick as the strap – which might be good if you have a thicker watch but otherwise seems a bit flimsy. Shipping to Australia to 5 1/2 weeks.

Fit perfectly with my Fossil Minimalist Three-Hand watch! Was nervous at first seeing as how my watch is 44mm in diameter, I was concerned that it wouldn’t look right but honestly, it looks like it was MADE for it with how perfect the fitting is. Looked great before but it’s even better now!
