From orange dials and blacked-out cases to skulls and pop-culture collaborations, the watch world has plenty to offer for Halloween. And for watch enthusiasts, that doesn’t have to mean buying a novelty watch you’ll forget about by November.
Some of the best Halloween watches are also just great fall watches, especially once you get into burnt orange, red, black, and other colors that work particularly well this time of year.
Below are 10 watches we’d happily wear around Halloween, from affordable Casio and Timex picks to a full-on Bell & Ross skull watch, ordered from least to most expensive.
Key Takeaways
- Orange is one of the most seasonal dial colors, but the best orange watches work well beyond Halloween.
- This list runs from a $131.99 Ghostbusters mod to the $10,600 Rolex Explorer II, so there’s a pick for almost any budget.
- The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull II and Ghostbusters Casio mod lean all the way into the Halloween theme.
- Swapping the strap is the easiest way to give any watch some fall color.
1. Ghostbusters Casio AE1200 Mod – From $131.99
The Casio AE1200, better known among collectors as the “Casio Royale,” already has plenty of retro charm. This Ghostbusters version takes things considerably further.
It’s worth pointing out that this isn’t an official Casio Ghostbusters watch. It’s a third-party modification built around a genuine AE1200, adding Ghostbusters graphics and a negative display to the familiar world-time watch.

Underneath, you still get the features that have made the AE1200 such a popular affordable Casio: world time, alarms, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and 100m of water resistance.
It’s nerdy, inexpensive, and based on a watch enthusiasts already love. As a Halloween wristwatch, that’s a pretty good combination.
2. Peanuts x Timex Standard Pumpkin Patch – $139
Few watches on this list embrace fall quite as literally as the Peanuts x Timex Standard Pumpkin Patch.
The dial puts Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang right in the pumpkin patch, housed inside a 40mm silver-tone case and paired with a blue leather strap. You also get Timex’s INDIGLO backlight, which feels especially appropriate here.

It’s obviously more playful than most of our picks, but that’s part of the appeal. If you’re searching for Timex Halloween watches or simply want something you can bring out every October, this one is hard to beat.
3. Seiko 5 Sports SRPD59 – $350
If you want a Seiko orange dial watch, the SRPD59 is an easy place to start.
The familiar 42.5mm Seiko 5 Sports case gets a bright orange dial surrounded by a black rotating bezel. Inside is Seiko’s automatic 4R36 movement, complete with hand-winding, hacking, and approximately 41 hours of power reserve.

With its bright looks, this orange dial dive watch works just as well in summer. Just keep in mind that it’s rated to 100m and doesn’t meet ISO 6425, the international standard for dive watches. For that, you’ll want the Citizen Promaster below.
Still, if you just want an affordable mechanical black and orange watch from a brand with plenty of enthusiast credibility, there’s a lot to like.
4. CIGA Design Z Series Edge Automatic – $399
The CIGA Design Z Series Edge gets its Halloween color from the strap rather than the dial.
Its skeletonized mechanical display sits inside a modern tonneau-shaped case, with the bright orange silicone strap providing the contrast. The titanium version measures approximately 40.8mm across and uses an automatic movement with around 40 hours of power reserve.

CIGA Design has also become an interesting brand to watch as Chinese mechanical watchmaking continues to gain more attention from enthusiasts. Its watches tend to be much more design-driven than the homages that once dominated the affordable Chinese watch conversation.
The orange strap works perfectly for October, but the watch itself is interesting enough that it doesn’t feel like a seasonal gimmick.
5. Citizen Promaster Dive BN0169-03X – $425
For a proper and robust orange dial divers watch, Citizen has you covered.
The Citizen men’s BN0169-03X orange Promaster Dive watch combines a bright orange dial with a dark blue polyurethane strap and a 44mm stainless steel case. Unlike the Seiko 5 diver above, this one is an ISO 6425-compliant dive watch with 200m of water resistance.

It’s powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive E168 movement, so light keeps the watch running without the need for regular battery changes. That also makes it a particularly easy grab-and-go tool watch.
We also like that Citizen went with blue rather than the more predictable black bezel-and-strap combination. It’s still bold, but a little different from most orange divers.
6. Citizen Tsuyosa Orange – $495
The Citizen Tsuyosa orange shows just how different the same color can feel outside of a dive watch.
Here, the orange sunray dial sits inside a 40mm stainless steel case with an integrated-style bracelet and sapphire crystal. It’s powered by Citizen’s automatic caliber 8210 and offers 50m of water resistance.

Compared with the Promaster, the Tsuyosa feels much dressier. The relatively simple dial and polished surfaces let the orange do most of the work, and the bracelet keeps it from leaning too heavily into the sporty orange-and-black aesthetic.
It’s also one of the easiest ways to add a genuinely bright dial to your collection without spending four figures.
7. Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante – $2,600
Of everything on this list, the Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante might be the watch that feels most naturally suited to fall.
The dial has a warm burnt-orange-to-red gradient, paired with a mahogany brown Cervo Volante deer-leather strap. Rather than looking specifically Halloween-themed, the whole combination feels distinctly autumnal.

Underneath those colors is the familiar Big Crown Pointer Date formula: a 40mm stainless steel case, central pointer-date hand, and automatic Oris caliber 754 with approximately 41 hours of power reserve.
This is also one of our favorite watches for fall because nothing about it feels limited to the season. Pair it with a different leather watch band and it would be just as easy to wear in April as it is in October.
8. NOMOS Metro neomatik for Ace Jewelers – $4,570
NOMOS isn’t the first brand that comes to mind when you think about orange watches, which is part of what makes the Metro neomatik for Ace Jewelers so interesting.
Created with Amsterdam retailer Ace Jewelers, this limited edition pairs a warm brick-orange dial with the compact 35mm Metro case. Only 50 examples were produced.

Instead of making orange feel loud or sporty, NOMOS takes it in a completely different direction. The thin bezel, slim lugs, and minimalist dial keep everything restrained, while the unusual color gives the Metro much more personality than you might expect.
For enthusiasts who prefer smaller watches or want an orange watch that isn’t a diver, it’s one of the more unusual choices here.
9. Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull II – $6,500
If we’re talking about Halloween watches, eventually we have to include a proper skull watch.
The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull II puts a large skull motif inside the brand’s unmistakable square BR 01 case, with the hands mounted through the center of the skull. The 46mm watch was produced as a limited edition of 500 pieces.

What makes it interesting is that Bell & Ross didn’t simply print a skull onto an otherwise conventional watch. The entire design revolves around the motif, while still being immediately recognizable as a BR 01.
It’s huge, strange, and completely unnecessary, which is exactly what makes it fun. If you’re going to wear a skull watch, you might as well commit.
The BR 01 Skull II is sold out at Bell & Ross, so current secondary-market prices will vary.
10. Rolex Explorer II 226570 – $10,600
The Rolex Explorer II isn’t an orange dial watch, but its orange 24-hour hand is so important to the model that we couldn’t leave it out.
The current Explorer II has a 42mm Oystersteel case, fixed 24-hour bezel, and independently adjustable hour hand. For Halloween specifically, we’d go with the black dial version, though the white dial “Polar” version is an equally iconic watch.

The Rolex Explorer II orange hand also has some history behind it. It’s a callback to the distinctive 24-hour hand of the original Explorer II reference 1655, giving the modern watch a connection to one of Rolex’s more unusual vintage sports models.
It might only be a small splash of orange, but it completely changes the personality of the watch.
Final Thoughts
The best Halloween watches don’t necessarily have to look like Halloween gimmicks.
An orange dial is probably the easiest way to get into the spirit without buying something you’ll only wear once a year. Watches like the Citizen Promaster, Seiko 5 Sports, and Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante bring plenty of seasonal color while remaining genuinely good watches in their own right.
Then again, there’s nothing wrong with having a little fun with your collection either. The Peanuts x Timex Pumpkin Patch makes a great October watch, the Ghostbusters Casio mod embraces pure nostalgia, and the Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull II takes the concept about as far as a serious watchmaker possibly could.
Whether you go subtle with the Rolex Explorer II orange hand or put a giant skull on your wrist, autumn is as good an excuse as any to try something seasonal and a little different.
And if a new watch isn’t in the cards this year, a bright orange rubber strap is an easy way to give the one you already own a little October color.
