StrapsCo’s professional spring bar removal tool is a must have for any watch enthusiast. It is made from top grade stainless steel and features replaceable tips on both ends. One side has a wide fork, which is perfect for changing leather, rubber and nylon straps. The other side has a small fork which is helpful for tight spaces, such as with metal bands. The small fork can be unscrewed and flipped over to use as a pin pusher as well.

The longer “Professional” model is the better choice because it provides more leverage than the shorter one. If you’re changing straps and bracelets occasionally, this tool is adequate. If you’re planning on heavy, long term use, I would recommend buying one that is made with a better quality steel. Perhaps the tempered steel model available from Strapco or one from Bergeon. This one works fine but if you know the feel of quality, this tool might disappoint you. I suspect there is a history of tips breaking so it’s nice that Strapco has thoughtfully included extra tips for both ends, just incase.
