Let’s take a look at how to install a Rolex-style clasp on a compatible strap.
First, we’ll install the shorter piece of the strap.
Begin by using a small, flathead screwdriver to remove the outer pin on the end of the clasp.
After unscrewing the pin, you can use the tip of the screwdriver to push the pin out completely.
Next, take the short piece of the strap, and insert the extruded end in the notch where the removed pin was.
Then, insert the pin back into the clasp, ensuring that it also goes through the hole on end of the strap.
Using the screwdriver once again, screw the pin back into place to secure the short piece of the strap.
To install the long piece of the strap, begin by opening the clasp, by using your fingernail to pry open the small latch.
On the other end of the clasp, you’ll notice sets of holes on the inside of the clasp cover.
Take the long piece of the strap in hand, and insert one end of the spring bar into one of the holes, according to the desired length adjustment.
Then, using a spring bar tool, compress the other end of the spring bar, and let it snap into the corresponding hole.
You can now re-close the clasp, and the installation is complete.
Gently tug on both ends of the strap to make sure everything is secure, and you’re all done!
