New band seems adequate but it might be hard for this one to meet the durability of the original. I have had this watch for four years before the band broke. Will be satisfied with less than that but only time will tell. This band does seem to be of similar quality so I have a good feeling but it is a bit shorter than the original so if others thinking of buying this one are using the whole original band, it might not be long enough. I will give the band a 4 star rating for now but if it is still going strong in a couple years would have no problem with 5 stars.
