Bought this a couple of months ago, same result as the original straps, it broke. I think the design of the watch is the main reason why all the straps are always breaking. So not impress but not to bad either.

Suunto 5 band fit perfectly, easy install with provided screwdriver, a little pricey but I got the band changed in <5 min. Just order it already.

I just replaced the strap on a Suunto 5 using this, and it does seem to work and fit well. It comes with the correct idiosyncratic screwdriver and screws, which appear like they would be very difficult to source otherwise. It would be nice to have an instruction video for this, but it wasn’t too difficult once I figured it out. One needs to loosen the screws, and then pry them out of the band with a tiny screwdriver. Then replace the strap and screw it back in. I was stuck for a while until I figured out how to pry the screws out with a bit of trial-and-error. Thanks for making the strap! Suunto itself says one needs to bring the watch to an authorized Suunto dealer for repair, but as far as I could tell, there were no dealers authorized to service this particular watch anywhere in the US.
