A few months ago, I bought a watch from FB Marketplace with a brown Dassari vintage rally leather strap. I was impressed with its quality and when I sold the watch, I kept the strap. A few weeks ago, I had the chance to buy one of my favourite Seikos, the 6138-8020, aka Panda. Its lug width of 19mm sent me on a hunt for straps. I found StrapCo selling the Rally Dassari, so I bought three: two vintage rally, one black, and one brown, along with this black perforated rally. All three are very well made and practical due to the quick release system.

I ordered two of these. My previous review was of the brown version. I also ordered the Tan. My intention was to easily be able to swap between them to match my belt and shoes of whatever I am wearing on a given day. The quality and functionality of this strap is good. No complaints. I was again (see my other review) a little surprised by the color. I know leather naturally varies. The tan color, however, is darker than I expected. I was expecting more of a cream or khaki color. I’d describe this color as more of a medium caramel. There is some orange in it, and maybe even a little yellow tone. The stitching has some yellow to it as well. I ordered tan and brown for a clear contrast and they are closer in tone than I expected. All the same, I’m still reasonably pleased with the purchase, especially if these were the colors I was looking for. I think they would look good on almost any racing inspired chrono.

Bought this for my Seiko SSB477 chronograph to lean into the racing vibe. I am relatively pleased. I think it looks good. I don’t know if it’s the highest quality leather ever, but it’s seems durable enough. I have had some super cheap straps that crease and rub through the first layer of bonded leather very quickly. I don’t think that’s going to be the case for this one. Feels comfortable after it broke in for a day or two. I ordered the short size and it fits my 6.25” wrist well. I am on the smallest hole, so beware if you have a much smaller wrist. Another comment I have is the color. I ordered the brown. From the pictures, I expected more of a chocolate brown and I’d say it’s more of an orangey Cognac color. It looks good, just not what I expected exactly. I also wish they had an option with contrasting stitching. I like the quick release spring bars. I would potentially order this or something similar again, but might also consider just getting the excellent sail cloth strap instead.

Absolutely love this band! Sporty, elegant and classy all at the same time! Makes my Tag Heuer Carrera look much better than the stock band it came it.

I was quite surprised how good the quality of this leather strap was when I received it. The colour is very bright and the leather feel good.

So my first thought was too shiny for black leather but after giving it some time I see why it comes in this finish and let me say it’s a stunner. This rally strap is a must for any Omega watch or anyone looking to get that Omega Speedmaster sporty look. Love it!
